Sagadahoc Dems

Vote!

Voting is our right, our privilege and our responsibility.  As an American citizen, one of the most important things you can do is VOTE!  Your voice at the election booth is your power.  Be heard!  Be part of the solution!

Join the Committee

Join the Sagadahoc Democrats!

The purpose of our committee is to promote the ideals, principles, and philosophy we share as Democrats.  The nomination and election of candidates who advocate these ideals and principles are of utmost importance for our government to function effectively.

The committee is a coordinating organization for Democratic party activities within the county.  This includes assistance to local town committees, recruiting candidates, fundraising, voter turnout campaigns.

Run for Office

“If you are disappointed with your elected officials, grab a clipboard, get some signatures and run for office yourself.” –  Barack Obama

Now more than ever, we need Democratic voters to stand up and fight for progressive values in their communities.  County commissioner, school board member, select board member—these are just a few examples of local roles with a big impact!

The Maine Democratic Party “Run Local” program recruits and trains democratic candidates to run for local office and win.  Click here to learn more: https://www.mainedems.org/run

“It is citizens — ordinary men and women, determined to forge their own future — who throughout history have sparked all the great change and progress…because as the saying goes, the most important title is no “president” or “prime minister; the most important title is “Citizen””

Barack Obama

As citizens, we hold more power than we think. We can drastically change and improve our communities and the lives of the people in them if we put our minds to it. So let’s get to work!
