Conversation with voters: “Dark Money”

February 24 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

On Saturday, February 24th, from 10am – Noon, at the Sagadahoc County Democratic Office at 24 Main Street, Topsham, Dr. Maurice Cunningham will be giving a talk and leading a discussion on the role of “Dark Money” in today’s politics and school privatization.
Maurice T. Cunningham, J.D. Ph.D. is author of Dark Money and the Politics of School Privatization and an expert on right-wing “parents rights” groups. He retired from the University of Massachusetts at Boston as an associate professor of political science but continues to research and write about dark money. His commentaries have appeared in the Portland Press Herald, Detroit Free Press, LA Progressive, Alternet, Counterpunch, New Hampshire Bulletin, Idaho Education News, Tampa Bay Times, and The Progressive.  We look forward to a lively and educational discussion about how this movement is affecting politics in Maine.
