Letters To the Editor (LTE) Training
The 2020 election is too important to sit on the sidelines. Voting is crucial, but it isn’t enough. Democrats have to stand together to fight back against Donald Trump, Susan Collins, Mitch McConnell, and their wealthy, corporate allies. We need to do everything we can to make our voices heard.
That’s why you should come to the next Letter to the Editor Seminar in Lewiston! Susan Collins refuses to meet with her constituents and listen to our questions and concerns. It is unacceptable that she has refused to hold a town hall in over 20 years. So the Maine Dems and March Forth are partnering to make sure Susan Collins listens to Mainers. Letters to the Editor (or LTEs) are a great way to make your voice heard and tell the Republicans in Washington and Augusta that we aren’t backing down. Join us on Wednesday, February 5th in Lewiston at 6pm! Space is limited, so click here to register before it fills up.
Mary Ann Larson, from March Forth, will take us through the best practices for writing a letter and submitting it to a paper. She knows all the best tricks to help make your LTE successful. Come with an idea for a topic you want to write about — from health care to voter protection to impeachment or any issue you’re passionate about — and by the end of the seminar, you’ll start writing your own LTE.
